River Indus originates on the Tibetan Plateau at Lake Mansarovar and flows through Jammu & Kashmir's Ladakh area. It flows through Pakistan's whole length, starting in Gilgit and Baltistan and ending in the south. It eventually joins the Arabian Sea at the Sindh port city of Karachi, covering a distance of 3,180 kilometres.India's name comes from the Sanskrit term 'Sindhu,' which was the ancient name for the Indus River.Lt. General Arjun Ray, PVSM, VSM (Retd. ), a visionary par excellence, drafted the concept of an IB school that would teach comprehensive education on the banks of the Indus River in Leh in January 2002.
