River Indus originates on the Tibetan Plateau at Lake Mansarovar and flows through Jammu & Kashmir's Ladakh area. It flows through Pakistan's whole length, starting in Gilgit and Baltistan and ending in the south. It eventually joins the Arabian Sea at the Sindh port city of Karachi, covering a distance of 3,180 kilometres.India's name comes from the Sanskrit term 'Sindhu,' which was the ancient name for the Indus River.Lt. General Arjun Ray, PVSM, VSM (Retd. ), a visionary par excellence, drafted the concept of an IB school that would teach comprehensive education on the banks of the Indus River in Leh in January 2002. It was a vision that was as expansive and nurturing as the Indus River itself.With 135 pupils, the Indus International School in Bangalore began its inaugural academic year in 2003. Following that, the school graduated from Grade IX to Grade XII in just three years in order to maintain and ensure the pupils of a fantastic learning experience. It is now one of Bangalore's largest and most varied institutions, with over 1,100 students from 33 nationalities, 30 percent of whom live on campus.
