Maharani Kishori Devi Girls School

The Surajmal Memorial Education Society was founded in the 18th century, inspired by the life and ideals of Maharaja Surajmal, a great patriot and enlightened ruler of Bharatpur, with the main objective of disseminating quality education in various fields especially for the benefit of students from rural and economically weaker sections of the Society. In addition to setting up the Maharaja Surajmal Institute, the Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Pharmacy and the Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology in Delhi, the Society has set up the Maharani Kishori Devi Girls' School at Bikaner to meet the educational needs of girls living in this previously neglected area of Rajasthan. The number of students in the school has risen to over 1900 within a period of six years and has been approved by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) up to the 12th grade. Then the school has a hostel and that will go a long way in fulfilling the long-left needs of the rural girls.
