Founded in 1938 by Dr. K.M. Munshi, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan is today an All-India Intellectual, Cultural and academic movement dedicated to the dual tasks of interpreting the age-old yet ageless message of our country and of integrating our varied and vibrant culture with the changing needs of the present-day world. During over seven decades of its existence the Bhavan has come to be recognized as a logo of India's glorious past and as a comprehensive National Institution with a world outlook touching all facets of life and enriching all spheres of activity.Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan conducts classes from Kindergarten to Post-Graduate, Research and Imparts Education in subjects starting from Carnatic Music to Computers, from Sanskrit to Business Management and from Yoga to Journalism.
The sum total of all our actions is our life, and we should learn to see it from that perspective and learn to appreciate it. This is the reason why we must not waste it, which implies that we should not waste time in practical terms, but use every moment of it. And let me note that relaxation and fun isn't a waste of time. Such aspects are also significant, but in proper proportion. Time's real enemy is laziness and procrastination. Stop them at all costs, and you will learn that your schedules are still ahead of you.
It is our earnest effort to give children under our care a value-based education.
Our goal is not only to make effective engineers, physicians, technicians, businessmen, etc., but also to shape good human beings of great values in order to spouse and propagate the dharma Satyam, Shivam, and Sundaram's threefold cherished aspects.
I am hoping for the internalization and universalization of these ideals that sustain life.
